The Varsity Sports Arenas menu gets unlocked at the Big Town milestone and the Aquatics Center is available at that time. Other arenas become unlocked one milestone at a time. (See table below.)

Varsity Sports Arenas can be placed anywhere in a city. When they are placed inside a Campus Area, they host Varsity Sports teams. This allows the player to customize the team colors and choose from a number of team names complete with billboards and mascots.

Many Campus buildings can be built alongside paths within the campus, but the Varsity Sports Arenas must be built roadside, even within a campus area.

When placed outside of Campus Areas, they function like the Match Day stadium.

Cheerleaders and coaching[edit]

The chances of winning games can be increased with funding for coaches and cheerleaders. This increased chance of winning gets applied to all teams on campus, so more arenas on campus results in more chances of winning games and trophies for the same amount of coaching and cheerleading funding.

Funding for cheerleaders (₡0 - ₡2,000) results in an increased chance of winning games (0% - 7%). It also results in a boost to the attractiveness effect of Varsity Sports (0-25 points).

Your campus can have from 0-25 coaching staff at a cost of ₡1,000 per coach, each with a maximum effect of 1% added to your team's chance of winning (maximum 25%). Coaches work with teams and gradually improve performance from 0% to 1% for each coach, so it takes time to see the effect of adding coaches.

Trophies[edit]

At the end of the academic year, if a team has won 80% or more of its games, it will be awarded a trophy. Winning trophies awards prize money and increases campus attractiveness. Effects gained from winning trophies fade over time. Every team on campus has the potential to win a trophy, so more arenas increases the chance to win a trophy.

Achievements[edit]

There is an achievement related to the varsity sports arenas.
